How Bruno Stairlifts Actually Work
The engineering behind Bruno stairlifts remains refreshingly simple. A motor drives a gear along a rack system attached to your staircase. The chair moves at approximately 20 feet per minute. That’s slow enough to feel secure, fast enough to be practical.
The rail mounts directly to your stair treads, not the wall. This preserves your home’s structure. Installation typically takes three to four hours. Most units run on rechargeable batteries, so they work during power outages.
Safety sensors stop movement if something blocks the path. Seat belts keep riders secure. Swivel seats make getting on and off easier at the top landing.
Bruno Stairlift Model Lineup
Straight Stairlifts
The Elan (SRE-3000) handles standard straight staircases. It supports up to 300 pounds. The footrest, seat, and armrests fold up when not in use. This model fits stairs as narrow as 28 inches.
The Elite (SRE-2010) offers upgraded features. It accommodates users up to 400 pounds. The larger seat provides extra comfort for longer rides. Both models include wireless remote controls.
Curved Stairlifts
The Elite Curve (CRE-2110) navigates turns, landings, and spiral staircases. Custom rails match your exact stair configuration. These units can handle multiple flights with intermediate landings.
Outdoor Models
Weather-resistant Bruno outdoor lifts withstand rain, snow, and temperature extremes. Marine-grade vinyl covers protect components. Galvanized steel resists rust. These units help with porch steps, deck access, or garage entries.
